MORRISTOWN, N.J. (June 27, 2007) – The Port Jefferson team of Lou Malaussena and Thomas Taylor Sr. shot a 10-under 60, including a scorching 28 on the back nine, to win the 31st MGA/MetLife Men’s Net Team Championship at Spring Brook Country Club.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (July 19, 2007) - Mark Costanza of Tuxedo Park, N.Y., defeated Max Bichsel of Cranbury, N.J., 3 & 2 in the final of the 90th Met Junior Championship, sponsored by MetLife, at the Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield, Conn. With this win, Costanza becomes only the 10th player in MGA history to win both the Junior and MGA/MetLife Boys championships.

ELMSFORD,  N.Y. (July 16, 2007) - MetLife and the MGA Foundation conducted the first MGA/MetLife Youth Clinic of the 2007 season on Thursday, July 12 at USGA Headquarters in Far Hills, New Jersey. A group of 52 students from Newark Youth Golf, Renaissance Junior Golf and the First Tee of Essex County at Weequahic Park were treated to a tour of the USGA’s Equipment Testing Center and an afternoon clinic on the front lawn of Golf House.

NESHANIC STATION, N.J. (July 6, 2007) – Justin Jacaruso of Spook Rock Golf Course won the 60th MGA/MetLife Public Links Championship by one stroke today at Neshanic Valley Golf Course. It is the first MGA title for the 23-year-old resident of Suffern, N.Y., and his rounds of 71-72 equaled a one-under-par 143 total. Jacaruso’s steady play on the difficult 7,045-yard, par-72 layout was the key to his victory, as no one else in the field put together two rounds of par or better.
