ELMSFORD, N.Y. (February 6, 2009)   Solidifying its position as the country’s finest regional golf publication, The Met Golfer won four Outstanding Achiever awards in four different categories at the International Network of Golf’s (ING) 16th Annual Media Awards on January 29 at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla. The Met Golfer, the official publication of the Metropolitan Golf Association, reaches more than 100,000 households in the Met Area.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (February 4, 2009) — A number of Met Area professionals were in Florida in late January to compete in the PGA of America’s early season competitions. C.J. Reeves of Century CC in Purchase, N.Y., captured the TaylorMade-adidas PGA Women’s Stroke Play Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on January 22. On the men’s side, Frank Esposito of Brooklake CC in Florham Park, N.J., finished t-2nd at the TaylorMade-adidas PGA Stroke Play Championship, also at PGA Golf Club.

(January 26, 2009) — February is here and with The Masters right around the corner and the U.S. Open at Bethpage on Long Island in June, we all have the itch to get back out on the golf course. The problem? Another two months of ice and snow before any of us can pull the clubs out of the basement. Fortunately for Met Area golfers there is a number of facilities across the region that can cater to the avid golfer this winter.
