WATCHUNG, N.J. (October 29, 2013) – Sharon Nightingale and Sharon Kennedy of Redding Country Club won the 29th MGA/MetLife Women’s Net Team Championship on Tuesday, October 29 at Twin Brooks Country Club in Watchung, N.J. Their score of 6-under 68 (net) won the ladies their first Women’s Net Team title.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 29, 2013) - Thirteen assistant professionals from the Met Area are competing this week at the 2013 National 
Car Rental PGA Assistant Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The 72-hole stroke play competition will run from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3 and includes 126 of the top assistants from around the country.

gathered at Old Westbury Golf and Country Club in Old Westbury, N.Y. for a day of learning, discussions, and to hear about the launch of the My MGA Club App.
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 14, 2013) — The 2013 Met Area golf season is just about over and the Nov. 1 handicap eRevision will be the last official “active-season” revision for the year. It is important to know that scores made in the Met Area after Oct. 31 should not be posted and will not be accepted for handicap purposes. MGA handicapping will begin its inactive season from Nov. 1 to March 31, 2014. The first day for posting scores for 2014 will be April 1.
UPDATED - October 8, 2013 (7 p.m.) - Joe Saladino's impressive run at the U.S. Mid-Am at the Country Club of Birmingham came to an end on Tuesday when he was defeated by Bill Williamson of Cincinnati, Ohio, 5&4. It was the second time in three years that Saladino advanced all the way to the Sweet 16.
