Valerie Reardon Joins MGA Foundation Board
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 31, 2013) - The MGA Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Valerie Reardon of Tuxedo Park, N.Y. to the MGA Foundation Board of Directors in October.
A graduate of Baylor University and Pace University, Reardon is the Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at EmblemHealth, one of the largest health insurers in New York. She also serves on the boards of several other organizations, including the Better Business Bureau of NYC, the Bergen County United Way, Friends in Deed and Financial Executives International.
Reardon, a member of The Tuxedo Club, is also a talented golfer, having won the 2011 MGA/WMGA Mixed Pinehurst and the 2012 Westchester Husband and Wife Championships (with her husband Mike). Under her direction, EmblemHealth has developed a strong history of support of the MGA Foundation’s GOLFWORKS Student Intern Program, sponsoring more than 25 students in the last five years.
“Val’s passion for the game, her strong corporate background and her long history of support of the MGA and junior golf will make her a valuable addition to the Foundation’s Board,” noted MGA President and MGA Foundation Chariman, Jeff Holzschuh.
The MGA Foundation’s mission is to build a foundation for the future of golf by bringing the values and traditions of the game to a new generation of golfers through innovative programs. Founded in 1991, the MGA Foundation programs have impacted thousands of young people through its GOLFWORKS Student Intern Program, The First Tee of Metropolitan New York, junior competitions, and educational programs.
