The MGA/MetLife Women’s Net Team Championship has grown in popularity since its inception in 1985, and teams have to first qualify on the club level and then at one of three sectional qualifying rounds. The format for the qualifying rounds as well as the championship was 18 holes of stroke play on a net better-ball basis, with the women competing at 95 percent of their course handicaps.
