July 9, 2009 – Allison Oakes of Sterling Farms fired an even-par 71 to win the 12th WMGA/MGA Women’s Public Links Championship on July 9 at Patriot Hills Golf Club in Stony Point, N.Y. This is Oakes’ second victory at the Women’s Public Links (2007). Karen Bouloucon of Black Bear, the 2005 champion, carded a four-over-par 75 to finish in second.

Both are back to contend for the Women’s Public Links title again, and they will be up against a talented of field of Met Area public links players.
