December 11, 2009 – Robert A. Dickison, the longtime superintendent at Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, N.J., was selected as one of three recipients of the 2010 GCSAA Col. John Morley Distinguished Service Awards.

December 3, 2009 – USGA Executive Director David B. Fay and Cameron Wilson of Shorehaven Golf Club were honored at the Metropolitan Golf Association Annual Meeting and Dinner on December 2 at Westchester Country Club in Harrison, N.Y. Fay received the 2009 MGA Distinguished Service Award, the Association’s highest honor, and Wilson received the 2009 MGA Jerry Courville Sr. Player of the Year Award.
November 30, 2009 – Mary Jane “Sis” Putman, a longtime scoreboard keeper for the MGA, died at her home in Mendham, N.J., on November 26 after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Putman joined the MGA as a scorekeeper in 1984 and worked hundreds of tournaments throughout the Met Area.
ORLANDO, Fla. (November 25, 2009) – Andrew Giuliani continues to perform well at The Big Break: Disney. Giuliani advanced through the seventh week of the competition and is one of the five remaining contestants on the show.
