ELMSFORD, N.Y. (March 22, 2012) - The First Tee of Plainfield will kick off their 2012 golf season on Saturday, March 31 with their annual open house at Plainfield West 9 Golf Course. 

Everyone is invited to attend the event, which will be sponsored by the New Jersey PGA, NJ Golf Foundation and Chick-Fil-A.  From 1-5 p.m., participants will have an opportunity to learn the game from the First Tee's professional staff, enjoy a free lunch and hear about the many exciting events on the 2012 schedule.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (March 19, 2012) - The Metropolitan Golf Association is proud to welcome Thomas Pagel, USGA senior director of Rules of Golf and Amateur Status, as the guest speaker at the 2012 MGA/Met PGA Rules of Golf Seminar on Tuesday, March 27 at Brae Burn Country Club located in Purchase, N.Y.  

Pagel will lead PGA professionals, local club officials, and others interested in the Rules of Golf in a discussion on new rules changes.  He'll also be fielding questions on specific rules of the game.

The 2012 PGA Tour season is off and running with the completion on Monday of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at the Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort in Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii and the start of this week's second consecutive even in the Aloha State, the Sony Open in Hawaii. While Steve Stricker left Maui as the champion and got an early jump on the Money List and FedEx Cup points standings, two players with Met Area ties also made a splash.
