(December 8, 2011) – Gene Bernstein of the Meadow Brook Club was elected to a second one-year term as President of the Metropolitan Golf Association at the Association’s 114th Annual Meeting, held on Wednesday, December 7 at Westchester Country Club in Harrison, N.Y. Mr. Bernstein will head a 25-member Executive Committee as well as serve as Chairman of the Association’s charitable Foundation.

After blasting his drive past the bunkers on the 18th, Miller's approach landed within 8 feet and he sunk the birdie putt, ending the match with a final score of 1up.

MGA, GUI Teams to Battle at Bethpage for Carey Cup

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (September 26, 2011) – The teams are selected and anticipation is building for the biennial Governor Hugh L. Carey Challenge Cup presented by Mutual of America, which will be held October 18-20 on the famed Black Course at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, N.Y. The international competition, informally known as the Carey Cup, was last played on U.S. soil in 2007 at Trump National-Westchester in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., and was held in Ireland at the Links at Portmarnock in 2009.
