WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (July 30, 2013) – 146 players competed in the 98th Met Open Championship sectional qualifier on a day that brought perfect golf weather to the 6,302 yard par-70 greens of Westchester Hills Golf Club in White Plains, N.Y. Sixteen spots (plus ties) were for the taking Tuesday and at the end of the day, 22 players solidified spots and a trip to Old Westbury Country Club, all posting scores of even-par or better.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 26, 2013) - One of the most anticipated junior events of the summer returns to the historic Baltustrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., on Wednesday, July 31, where the top Met Area players aged 18 and under will compete in the 11th Carter Cup. Year in and year out the field is stacked with young local talent and this year is no exception.

SAG HARBOR, N.Y. (July 24, 2013) - Six qualifying positions (plus ties) were on the line at Noyac Golf Club in Sag Harbor, N.Y.,  as 60 players teed it up with hopes of qualiying for this year's edition of the Met Open Championship Sponsored by MetLife to be played at Old Westbury Golf and Country Club in late August.

BRIELLE, N.J. (July 24, 2013) – A total of 15 players out of 125 qualified for the 98^th Met Open sponsored by MetLife today in the sectional qualifying round at Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle, N.J. The Met Open will be held at Old Westbury Golf and Country Club in Old Westbury, N.Y. August 20-22. It is a 54-hole stroke play competition and there will be a cut after 36 holes.

EAST NORWICH (July 23, 2013) -  A field of 130 players competed for 13 qualifying spots plus ties today at the 98^th Met Open sectional qualifying round at Pine Hollow Country Club in East Norwich, N.Y. The Met Open will be played August 20-22 at Old Westbury Golf and Country Club in Old Westbury, N.Y.

UPDATED: JULY 25, 2013: It was a battle for Long Island yesterday as Jim Liu of Smithtown, N.Y., and Matt Lowe of Farmingdale, N.Y., went head to head through 19 holes in yesterday's Round of 64 at the U.S. Junior Amateur. Both juniors took turns leading the match, but neither of them got more than a 1-up lead. After pushing the match to one extra hole, it was Liu who ended the match with a birdie on their 19th hole.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. UPDATED (August 6, 2013) - Sectional qualifying for one of the nation's most coveted regional events, the 98th Met Open Championship sponsored by MetLife, is now complete.

UPDATED: July 24, 2013 - After winning her match in the Round of 64 5 & 4, Nicole Morales will head to the Round of 32 on Thursday at the U.S. Girl's Junior Championship. Morales will take on Bethany Wu of Diamond Bar, California. Also advancing today was Hana Ku, who survived to win her match 1 up. On Thursday she will look to defeat Samantha Wagner of Windermere, Florida.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 19, 2013) - The Met Area will be well represented when the U.S. Junior Amateur kicks off on Monday, July 22 at Martis Camp Club in Truckee, Calif.
