ELMSFORD, N.Y. (September 13, 2006) - Several Met Area players will compete in the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship scheduled for September 16-21 at Victoria National Golf Club in Evansville, Indiana.  Reigning New Jersey Mid-Amateur champion Allan Small of Fairmount, Tom Graham of Fairfield, Vic Gerard of Eagle Oaks and Doug Vergith of St. George’s will be on hand to try and win the 52nd playing of this championship.

SUMMIT, N.J. (August 23, 2006)  Rick Hartmann of Atlantic won the Met Open in 1998 and 2004, and now at age 47 he is well-positioned to join the select ranks of three-time champions. However, to do so he’ll have to hold off two younger challengers who are eager to make their marks in the Met Area.

(August 22, 2006) – A host of familiar names are lurking near the top of the leaderboard after the first round of the 91st MGA/MetLife Open Championship, played on the 7,066-yard North Course at Canoe Brook Country Club. With light breezes and receptive greens, 32 players out of the field of 130 were able to shoot even par or better.
