Olsen & Hamberger Win 20th MGA Senior Net Four-Ball Tournament

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. (May 14, 2012)Alley Olsen and Bill Hamberger of Blue Hill Golf Association fired a 10-under 62 to win the 20th MGA Senior Net Four-Ball Tournament at New Jersey National Golf Club in Basking Ridge, N.J. Olsen and Hamberger were one of five teams that came in with 62, but won due to the tie breaker that goes to the team with the greater total age.

(May 7, 2012) - In cool, cloudy conditions, Nelson Debow of Newton Country Club fired a first-round 75, which inlcuded three birdies, to take the early lead in the 85th MGA Senior Amateur Championship at Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson, N.J. The 2007 champion of this event, Jay Blumenfeld of Mountain Ridge, is one stroke back after a 76.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (May 15, 2012) - Last year's MGA Player of the Year and Met Amateur champion Michael Miller of Knollwood Country Club kept a blog as he traveled across the Atlantic to compete in two prestigious amateur tournaments: The Lytham Trophy, May 4-6 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes in England, and the Irish Amateur Open Championship, May 11-13 at Royal Dublin Golf Club in Dublin, Ireland. It was the first trip overseas for Miller, 20, and he tied for fourth in both tournaments and is now back home in Brewster, N.Y.
