WESTHAMPTON BEACH, N.Y. (May 20, 2014) – A field of 115 amateurs braved the windy conditions today at Westhampton Country Club in Westhampton Beach, N.Y. to compete for 16 qualifying spots (plus ties) for this year’s 59th Ike MGA Stroke Play Championship.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (May 16, 2014) - As the 114th U.S. Open quickly approaches, top Met Area players are one step closer to playing amongst the world's best players at Pinehurst. The MGA conducted four Local Qualifying Rounds in which professionals and amtaeurs alike competed for coveted qualifying positions. From there, the local qualifiers will play in a 36-hole Sectional Qualifying Round on June 2, deemed "golf's longest day." Gaffney of Darien, Conn., led the field and secured himself a trip to the Sectional Qualifying Round after shooting a 3-under 69.
ARMONK, N.Y. (May 14, 2014) –Seven players left the Whippoorwill Club one step closer to playing in the 114th U.S. Open after advancing 
through the Local Qualifying Round. Two more returned on the morning of the 15th to battle it out in a playoff for the eighth and final qualifying position.
