Mid-Day Update: 87th Senior Amateur at Rockrimmon
STAMFORD, CONN. (May 5, 2014) - After the first wave of the 87th Senior Amateur at Rockrimmon Country Club, Richard Feldman of Centennial leads with a 2-over 74. Feldman birdied the par-5 15th hole, helping him stay low during the windy morning round.
Just two strokes back is Cyrus Whitney Jr. of Hackensack, the 2013 Runner-Up. Whitney was the first-round leader at last year's Senior Am at Navesink, and he once again has put himself in a prime position for a top finish.
Right behind Whitney with rounds of 5-over 77 are Ned Steiner of Mountain Ridge and Frank Ciulla of Wykagyl. The afternoon wave of players have tee-times from 12:30 to 2:30, and the low 40 players from today will advance to the final round tomorrow.
