An open letter from MetGCSA President, Glen Dube, CGCS:
Dear MetGCSA Members,
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (February 4, 2016) - We continue to delve into the past of our MGA Member Clubs, this time looking at the rich history of Ridgewood Country Club, one of New Jersey's premier courses.
Newport Beach, California native Stewart Hagestad made the move to the Met Area during the summer of 2014. Treating golf as a high priority, Hagestad wasted little time getting involved with the area's golf community. The former USC golfer competed in his first MGA events during the 2015 season, bursting upon the MGA scene with a solo second finish at Friar's Head in the Ike Championship.
The 2016 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship is coming to famed Winged Foot Golf Club this May. Members of the golf community have the special chance to fill on-course volunteer positions as a marshall/forecaddie during the opening days of the championship, May 21-23.
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (January 25, 2016) -- Winter Storm Jonas hit the Met Area hard over the weekend, leaving several locations with record snowfall totals.
The MGA's John DeTemple took advantage of the new scenery, capturing this aerial photo of Sleepy Hollow Country Club on Sunday with one of the MGA's new drones.
MONTCLAIR, N.J. (January 20, 2016) — Montclair Golf Club and Rock Spring Club, two premier private golf clubs located in West Orange, New Jersey, are pleased to announce the merger of their properties and operations. The club will be known as Montclair Golf Club and will continue to operate both facilities, which are located 3.6 miles apart.
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (January 16, 2016) – Morgan Hoffmann is off to a strong start in the first full-field PGA TOUR event of 2016, as he enters the weekend inside the top 10 at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
