DEAL, N.J. (May 12, 2016) – Four qualifying spots were on the line at today’s U.S. Open Local Qualifying Round at Hollywood Golf Club in Deal, N.J. Tyler Hall of Wayne, N.J., earned medalist honors with a 6-under 65. The 2011 Met Open Champion led the field by 5 strokes thanks to a round with 6 birdies and no bogeys to move on to sectional qualifying.

(May 11, 2016) – For the first time in nearly 50 years, the MGA Senior Amateur Championship has had a successful title defense, as George Zahringer III of Deepdale claimed his second straight win in the event. The record 17-time MGA champion carded a 4-over 74 in Wednesday’s final round at Huntington Country Club, for a 1-over 141 tournament total and two-stroke victory.
OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. (May 10, 2016) – Old Westbury Golf and Country Club gave way for six players to advance through a Local Qualifying Round for the 2016 U.S. Open. Those who qualified will move forward to the Sectional Qualifying Round at Canoe Brook Country Club (North & South), in Summit, N.J., on Monday, June 6. Two alternates were also designated.
