Elmsford, N.Y. (April 27, 2005) - Katie Allison (left) of Mahwah, NJ, makes her return to the LPGA this week at the Franklin American Mortgage Championship this week in Franklin, TN.  The event benefits the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Elmsford, N.Y. (April 15, 2005)—Nick Faldo, winner of six major championships and a member of 11 Ryder Cup teams, will be recognized for his outstanding achievements by the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association at their 54th National Awards Dinner on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at the Hilton Rye Town in Rye Brook, New York.  The Hall of Famer will receive the Gold Tee Award, the MGWA’s highest honor.

The 2005 MGA Spring Educational Series included the MGA/Met PGA Rules of Golf Workshop, the Green Chairman Education Series, and the Public Golf forums.  Here is a brief overview of the events.

Austin “Ace” Eaton, formerly of Sterling Farms GC, in Stamford CT, and winner of the 2004 U.S. Mid Amateur Championship certainly had a dream week despite missing the cut at the 2005 Masters. His time spent at Augusta included a practice round with Tiger Woods, a meeting with Byron Nelson, a pairing with the legendary Gary Player and 2004 British Open Champion Todd Hamilton, and some pretty good coverage at the end of the CBS telecast

Elmsford, N.Y. (March 28, 2005) - Jim Albus (left), former two-time Met Open Champion, shot 6-under par (71-67-69) to tie for 8th place in the Champions Tour Toshiba Senior Classic in Newport Beach, CA.  This is Albus’ first top-10 finish since he tied for 6th place in the Georgia-Pacific Super Seniors Championship in 2002 and earned him $40,307, bringing his 2005 total earnings to $78,950 moving him to 35th on the Champions Tour Money List.
