Tour Update
Elmsford, N.Y. (April 27, 2005) - Katie Allison (left) of Mahwah, NJ, makes her return to the LPGA this week at the Franklin American Mortgage Championship this week in Franklin, TN. The event benefits the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
On the Nationwide Tour, Johnson Wagner of Garrison, NJ, Jim McGovern of Hackensack, NJ and Chris Nallen of Hackettstown, NJ are all competing in the BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs in Greenville, SC. Last week at the Virginia Beach Open Nallen tied for 26th place, while McGovern posted rounds of 72-70-68-73 and wound up in a tie for 13th place at 5-under-par. Wagner, former star at nearby Virginia Tech, struggled during his second round and missed the cut after firing an opening round 69. This week he is returning to the site of his lowest round last season (65), which led him to a t-26th finish. Click on any players name to see their scorecards.
The PGA Tour stops in The Big Easy to play the newly renamed Zurich Classic of New Orleans at the Pete Dye-designed TPC of Louisiana. J.J. Henry, formerly of Patterson Club in Fairfield, CT, who finished in a tie for 69th at last week’s Shell Houston Open, and Matt Davidson of West Windsor, NJ are both in the field.
Former two-time Met Open champion Jim Albus continues his Champions Tour play at the FedEx Kinko’s Classic in Austin, TX. Last week Albus tied for 41st place at the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf.
