Albus Earns Top Ten in California

Elmsford, N.Y. (March 28, 2005) - Jim Albus (left), former two-time Met Open Champion, shot 6-under par (71-67-69) to tie for 8th place in the Champions Tour Toshiba Senior Classic in Newport Beach, CA.  This is Albus’ first top-10 finish since he tied for 6th place in the Georgia-Pacific Super Seniors Championship in 2002 and earned him $40,307, bringing his 2005 total earnings to $78,950 moving him to 35th on the Champions Tour Money List.

CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND (February 28, 2005) - Tied for the lead heading into the final round two-time Met Open and Met Amateur champion Johnson Wagner of Garrison, N.Y. posted a final round 72 to finish at 11-under par 277, three strokes behind winner Peter O’Malley of Australia.
