Buckley, Miller, and Ballo Qualify for PGA TOUR Canada

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (April 21, 2015) - A few Met Area locals took their talents to Florida for the PGA TOUR Canada Q-School-Florida tournament last week and were able to earn status thanks to some stellar play. The four day, 72 hole event took place at Panther Lake GC in Winter Garden, Fla., and leading the way was Max Buckley of Westchester for the locals. He opened the tournament with a 1-over 73, a score that could have put him well out of contention on this particular leaderboard.

(April 6, 2015) - As if qualifying for the Drive, Chip, and Putt Championship at Augusta wasn't cool enough for two First Tee of Metropolitan New York participants, why not make some noise with a strong showing on Easter Sunday. That is exactly what Jennifer Rosenberg of Laurel Hollow, N.Y. (Eisenhower Park participant) and Megha Ganne of Jersey City, N.J. (Essex County participant) did yesterday.

UPDATED (April 13, 2015) - It was an incredible week for Morgan Hoffmann at his first Masters, and he finished it in style Sunday at Augusta. After opening the tournament on Thursday with a 1-over 73, Hoffmann would not go over par again the rest of the week. On Friday he would fire an even par 72 and make the cut, something not many first time participants do at The Masters. This year 20 players were competing in their first Masters, and Hoffmann was one of only eight to make it to the weekend.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (April 3, 2015) - Two participants of The First Tee of Metropolitan New York have qualified for the finals of the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship at Augustal National Golf Club on Sunday, April 5.

Megha Ganne of Jersey City, N.J. (Essex County participant) and Jennifer Rosenberg of Laurel Hollow, N.Y. (Eisenhower Park participant) advanced through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying to be a part of the 80 junior golfers invited to the finals at Augusta.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (March 18, 2015) - After an over month long hiatus, the Champions Tour returns this week in Arizona for the Tucson Conquistadores Classic at Omni Tucson National. That means the four time NJPGA Player of the Year turned Champions Tour player Frank Esposito will also be back in action this week. The former Brooklake head pro and Met Area standout hasn't had the breakout he was looking for yet, but he has only competed in two events so far, garnering over $14,000.
