PURCHASE, N.Y. (September 2, 2015) – Century hosted an Els for Autism Foundation fundraiser on Monday, August 31, welcoming an outstanding group of PGA Tour professionals and Met Area supporters for the second straight year to raise autism awareness and funds for the Hall of Famer’s foundation.
ROSLYN, N.Y. (September 1, 2015) – Mark Mielke turned in the only even-par score in Tuesday’s final round of the 19th MGA Senior Open at the Engineers Country Club, as he tallied a 2-under 140 tournament total for a two-shot victory. Mielke, the only player to finish the 36-hole event under-par, now owns four career MGA titles, adding to his 1987 Public Links and 1992 and 2008 Met Open titles.

(August 31, 2015) – Tuesday’s final round of the 19th MGA Senior Open will feature a packed leaderboard after 12 players shot rounds of even-par or better at the Engineers Country Club on Monday. Greg Baker of Rockaway River, David Young of Sleepy Hollow and reigning champion and amateur Adam Kugler of Alpine set the opening round pace, all carding 3-under 68s.
ROSLYN HARBOR, N.Y. (August 31, 2015) – Humid, calm conditions have led to several under-par scores early in the 19th MGA Senior Open at Engineers Country Club, with reigning champion and amateur Adam Kugler of Alpine among the championship’s early leaders.
Kugler and Greg Baker of Rockaway River each carded 3-under 68s Monday morning to stand atop the early leaderboard. The 122-man field continues single-tee start times until 2:46 p.m.
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (August 31, 2015) -Thomas Duda, third year GOLFWORKS intern at The First Tee of Plainfield West 9, has been afforded opportunities via his internship to work at some of the Nation’s premier sports venues. Just a few weeks ago, Thomas assisted with the third installment of this summer’s MGA/MetLife youth clinics held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., where participants were able to chip and putt on the famed field that played host to Super Bowl XLVIII.
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (August 28, 2015) – The area’s top amateurs and professionals 50 years of age and older will make their way to Engineers Country Club in Roslyn, N.Y., August 31 and September 1, for the 19th MGA Senior Open Championship.

Mamaroneck, N.Y. (August 25, 2015)– Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., site of this year's 100th Met Open, hosted a group of approximately 45 enthusiastic junior golfers from The First Tee of Metropolitan New York on Monday, August 24, for the final installment of this year’s MGA/MetLife Youth Clinics. The clinic was held in conjunction with the Caddie Scholarship Pro-Am at the 100th Met Open Championship.
MAMARONECK, N.Y. (August 27, 2015) – The historic 100th Met Open did not disappoint, as Deepdale assistant professional Ben Polland claimed the Walker L. Trammell trophy in a playoff on Winged Foot’s East Course, defeating 2011 champion Tyler Hall of Montclair in a three-hole aggregate playoff after both finished the 54-hole championship at even-par 210.
