Team Bakst Repeats At 62nd Father/Son Championship
Woodmere, N.Y. (August 13, 2012)– The Woodmere Club opened its doors to 84 teams and 168 players for the 62nd MGA Father & Son Championship. The championship featured a gross modified Pinehurst champion, as well as champions in the net and professional divisions.

Updated 3:20 p.m. (August 16, 2012) - Despite never seeing a deficit in the match, Mike Miller of Brewster, N.Y., lost in 20-holes to Oliver Goss of Australia. Miller was up as much as three in the match, but lost the final hole to force a playoff. Miller was the last Met Area contestant in the Championship.

SHELTER ISLAND HEIGHTS, N.Y.(August 10, 2012) – Despite an hour and a half rain delay and an exhausting day of competition, 15-year-old Willis Huynh of Syosset, N.Y., was able to keep his focus and capture the first major victory of his career with the 44th MGA/MetLife Boys Championship at Gardiner’s Bay Country Club on Shelter Island, N.Y. Huynh defeated Vincent Palazzolo of Colts Neck, N.J.

SHELTER ISLAND HEIGHTS, N.Y.(August 9, 2012) – After battling two opponents as well as temperatures rising into the 90s, four talented young players have made it into the semifinals of the 44th MGA/MetLife Boys Championship at Gardiner’s Bay Country Club in Shelter Island Heights, N.Y.
