EDISON, N.J. (August 21, 2012) - It’s not easy to repeat as Met Open champion. In fact, only seven players have gone back-to-back in the history of the championship, and it hasn’t been done since PGA Tour winner Johnson Wagner did it back in 2001 and 2002. But after opening up this year’s championship at Plainfield Country Club with a 6-under 66, Tyler Hall of Packanack will give it his best shot.
EDISON, N.J. (August 21 2012)– St. John’s University men’s golfer Pat Wilson of Panther Valley came roaring out of the gates and birdied his way around Plainfield Country Club to the tune of a 7-under 65 to take the first round lead of the 97th Met Open.

EDISON, N.J. (August 21, 2012) - Plainfield Country Club’s first turn in the Met Open spotlight came in 1957. When only two players in the field broke 300 for 72 holes and more than half the field failed to break 80 in the final round, Plainfield had established itself as one of the toughest tests in the Met Area.
