RIDGEFIELD, CT.-Mahopac’s team of Lisa Delzio and Terri Lyons proved to be a complementary match as they teamed up to shoot a 10-under par 63 and capture the 19th MGA/MetLife Women's Net Team Championship by three strokes at the Silver Spring Country Club, in Rifgefield, CT.

Today’s win marks the first Women’s Net Team Championship title for the Mahopac team from Mahopac, NY.  Defending champions Sumi Gore and Janet Tu, of Otterkill paired up to shoot a net 69 to tie for 6th place.

This year, once again, with the support of MetLife more than 2,000 teams competed at the club level for the right to advance to the three sectional qualifying rounds.  These sectional qualifying rounds produced the 37 teams that competed today in this 18-hole stroke play, net better-ball with players competing at 90% of their course handicap.
