Elmsford, N.Y. (July 2, 2025) It was a beautiful day for the 7th U.S. Senior Women’s Open Championship qualifier. As a field of 18 looked to earn one of the three qualifying spots available. Sylvie Schetagne from Canada finished tied for top spot with Alicia Dibos of Greenwich, Connecticut after shooting 3-over 73. Schetagne cited her son as her main source of inspiration. “Im so excited I have been working really hard. My son inspired me to train for a year, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.”

The final qualifying spot was secured by Julie Piers, also representing Canada. Piers finished with a 5-over 75. The first available alternate spot was filled by Melissa Dziabo of Ridgewood, New Jersey who shot a 8-over 78. While the second alternate was claimed by Cj Reeves of Bedford, New York in a playoff.
