ELMSFORD, N.Y. (February 27, 2025) – The latest edition of The Met Golfer Extra is now available, featuring a new look with the same compelling stories and visuals MGA members have come to love. Stories include focus on the happenings in the Met Area, featuring highlights from local events, profiles on people, stories from behind-the-scenes, the latest news from the MGA, and more.
The February issue of The Met Golfer Extra, which will now alternate months of publication alongside The Met Golfer, features new MGA officer Damon Wright, a profile and recipes from new Wee Burn Country Club executive chef Michael Mignano, a MGA Foundation spotlight from a GOLFWORKS intern at Mountain Ridge, a tribute to longtime Met Area caddie John Doherty, a look back at the career of Brooklawn Country Club superintendent Peter Bly, and much more.

Extra’s redesign comes as part of the MGA’s update to its suite of digital publications. This includes the now exclusively digital distribution of the MGA’s official publication, The Met Golfer, which was published in January and will feature six issues per year and the now quarterly publication, The Met Golfer Traveler, which was released earlier in February and aims to inspire and inform passionate golfers by showcasing premier golf destinations from around the world.
