ELMSFORD, N.Y. (December 20, 2016) – The Metropolitan Golf Association has named Brian R. Mahoney as the Association’s new executive director, effective February 1, 2017.
Mahoney has held the role of Managing Director, Rules, Competitions, and GHIN Services for the past two years and has been with the Association for 16 seasons. Mahoney will succeed Jay Mottola who, after 34 years in the position, is preparing to step down. Mottola will remain active with the MGA and the MGA Foundation as a senior advisor.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (January 3, 2017) - Golf Range Magazine wrapped up 2016 with its annual Golf Range Association of America's Top 50 Awards. The awards program recognizes ranges in Public, Private and Stand Alone categories whose accomplishments have stood out through the year, while instructors are also honored through the Growth of the Game Teaching Professionals Award.
December 21, 2016 - The MGA mourns the loss of former volunteer Ralph Strickland Heilman, 92, who died peacefully on Saturday, December 17 following a brief illness.
Heilman had a great love for golf and graciously volunteered in several capacities with the MGA, working events and also being part of the Course Rating team.
