RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (June 30, 2015) – Cameron Young of Sleepy Hollow claimed the MGA’s 60th Ike Championship at Friar’s Head following a bogey-free, 5-under 66 in Tuesday afternoon’s final round. The five-stroke victory, which sets Young as the youngest-ever Ike champion having just turned 18 in May, is his third career MGA championship. Young stood atop the leaderboard after being the only player to card a trio of sub-par rounds (70-70-66) en route to a 7-under 206 tournament total.

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (June 29, 2015) – The first round of the MGA’s 60th Ike Championship is in the books at Friar’s Head and Ryan Snouffer of Panther Valley and James McHugh of Rye GC stand atop a stellar leaderboard with 3-under 68s. Following a first-round cut, 44 competitors who shot 75 or better will advance to Tuesday’s final 36 holes of stroke play.

Dobyns wins PGA Professional National Championship
UPDATED (5:45 p.m., July 1, 2015) - A birdie on the 72nd hole earned Matt Dobyns his second career PGA Professional National Championship, Wednesday at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Dobyns began the event with an opening round 72, but posted scores of 69, 68 and 70 over the final three rounds for the 279 tournament total, a score of 3-under. Dobyns, the head professional at Fresh Meadow, also won the title in 2012 and is now only the fifth player to win multiple National Championships.
