Suffern N.Y. (May 19, 2026) Chris Strnad of Tamarack Country Club led a field of 15 seniors who qualified to go to the 107th Westchester Amateur Championship at Ardsley Country Club. Strnad recorded 1 birdie on the front nine and 4 birdies on the back nine to log a 74. Jason Zaniewski of Sterling Farms Men’s Golf Club came in right behind Strnad with a 3-over par 75. Zaniewski started the round with a front nine score of 36 and a back nine of 39.Â

Also finishing at 3-over par 75 was Ken Cohen from Villa Roma Country Club. Rounding out the top 4 with a 4-over 76 was Bart Weissman from Sterling Farms Men’s Golf Club.
In the Super Senior Division Tom Brett from MGA eClub-Connecticut and Rick Blank from Metropolis Country Club both shot 4-over 76’s to lead the field in qualifying. There were 3 players for the final 2 qualifying spots that shot 7-over par 79. Robert Moriarty of Country Club of Fairfield and Brendan O’Rourke of Country Club of Darien advanced after a one-hole playoff.Â
The 107th Westchester Amateur Championship will be held at Ardsley Country Club in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. The tournament will take place from Monday, July 6 – Wednesday, July 8.
