Humphrey, who won the Manitoba Open on PGA Tour Americas in 2025, will be subject to the third reshuffle of the Korn Ferry Tour season, while Wu had full Korn Ferry Tour status entering the week and was aiming to take a top-five finish to earn a PGA Tour card.
Scotch Plains, N.Y., native John Pak opened the final round inside the top five, but a closing 6-over 76 dropped him into a tie for 42nd and subject to the second reshuffle on the Korn Ferry Tour.
All remaining finishers have conditional membership for the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season and are subject to the first reshuffle, as well as membership on PGA Tour Americas for the 2026 season and are subject to the reshuffle.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (December 10, 2025) – Five spots on the PGA Tour in 2026 are up for grabs this week with the Final Stage of PGA Tour Q-School. The field contains a lot of familiar Met Area competitors and players with ties to the region, with play taking place Thursday through Friday at the Dye’s Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass and Sawgrass Country Club.

Past MGA Champions
Five past MGA champions are in the field: 2018 Ike champion Michael Graboyes, 2011 Boys’ winner Theo Humphrey, 2012 Met Amateur winner Ryan McCormick, 2010 Met Junior and 2011 Met Amateur champion Michael Miller, and two-time Carter Cup champion Ethan Ng.
Regional Opens to the PGA TOUR?
Five players in the field competed in the 2025 Met Open at Meadow Brook Club: McCormick (2nd), Ng (T13), Andre Chi (T15), Graboyes (T26), and Miller (T35). Meanwhile, Jay Card III won the Long Island Open and Miller won his second straight Westchester Open in 2025.
Making the Jump
Card III and Humphrey both competed on and had wins on the PGA Tour Americas slate in 2025. Card III – who also won the Long Island Open this year during a gap in his schedule – won the Kia Open in Ecuador for his first professional win, then closed the season with a victory in the Fortinet Cup Championship in Canada. Humphrey earned a win in the Manitoba Open.
Both players already locked up a return to the Korn Ferry Tour for 2026, but now also have their eyes set on PGA Tour membership. Card competed on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2022-23, playing in 39 events over the two seasons. Humphrey did so from 2020-22, logging 63 starts.
Building Momentum
Chi first made headlines in 2025 as a Monday qualifier for the Valspar Championship, his first PGA Tour start. The Deepdale professional’s season continued to build as he competed in the PGA Championship, Met Section PGA events, and the Met Open, where he entered the final round with the lead. With Korn Ferry Tour starts already earned, now he’s eyeing more PGA Tour starts for 2026.
Past Club Pros
Both Jim Herman and Brett Stegmaier have played extensively on major professional Tours, with both having served as club professionals in the Met Area. Herman spent a couple of seasons as an assistant professional at Trump National – Bedminster, while Stegmaier spent time as an assistant at Silver Spring. Three-time PGA Tour winner Herman is looking to return to the pinnacle of professional golf, while Stegmaier looks to lock up a spot to play and build upon his more than 200 combined career starts on the PGA Tour (83) and Korn Ferry Tour (140)
Met Area Roots
Scotch Plains, N.J., native John Pak competed in the Carter Cup before honing his game in Florida and earning the Haskins Award as he finished his career at Florida State. Meanwhile Stanford University graduate Brandon Wu grew up in Scarsdale, N.Y., but attended a boarding school in Massachusetts. Pak played in 26 PGA Tour events in 2025, logging three top-25 finishes while Wu’s last full year on the PGA Tour came in 2024, when he had five top-25 finishes in 30 events.

Next 40 Finishers and Ties:Â Korn Ferry Tour membership for the 2026 season, with the first 25 finishers and ties being subject to the third reshuffle (occurs after 14th event), and any remaining finishers being subject to the second reshuffle (occurs after 10th event)
All Remaining Finishers:Â Conditional membership for the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season and subject to the reshuffle (first reshuffle occurs after sixth event); membership on PGA TOUR Americas for the 2026 season and subject to the reshuffle (first reshuffle occurs after sixth event)
The Courses
TPC Sawgrass (Dye’s Valley), par 70, 6,850 yards and Sawgrass Country Club (East/West Course), par 70, 7,054 yards. Sawgrass Country Club notably hosted THE PLAYERS Championship on its East/West Course from 1977-1981. Dye’s Valley, designed by Pete Dye, Bobby Weed, and player consultant Jerry Pate (who won THE PLAYERS in 1982), opened in 1987 and has hosted several Korn Ferry Tour events through the years, including the Korn Ferry Tour Championship from 2013-15.
