Met Area Represnted at Inaugural U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship

UPDATED (May 5, 2015) - The match play round of 32 featured three Met Area duos yesterday at the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA., who looked to grab a spot in the round of 16. Only one team was able to make it through, the 29th seeded Doug Kleeschulte and Jeffrey Schaller of Kingston, N.Y. The team just got into the match play portion of the tournament by one shot, and have taken full advantage.

(April 27, 2015) - The field is set for the 88th MGA Senior Amateur Championship with 168 of the Met Area's top senior players gearing up for the two-day event at Westchester Country Club in Rye, N.Y., on May 5-6 on the West Course. The weather seems to be coming around just in time for the first championship of the 2015 MGA season, which should bode well for a field full of past Senior Am Champions.

(April 23, 2015) - On Wednesday, April 22, Friar's Head in Riverhead, N.Y., hosted the MGA's annual Media Day in advance of the 2015 MGA Championship season, which is filled with stellar host courses all across the Met Area. One of those is Friar's Head, which will host the 60th Ike MGA Stroke Play Championship June 29-30.

Buckley, Miller, and Ballo Qualify for PGA TOUR Canada

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (April 21, 2015) - A few Met Area locals took their talents to Florida for the PGA TOUR Canada Q-School-Florida tournament last week and were able to earn status thanks to some stellar play. The four day, 72 hole event took place at Panther Lake GC in Winter Garden, Fla., and leading the way was Max Buckley of Westchester for the locals. He opened the tournament with a 1-over 73, a score that could have put him well out of contention on this particular leaderboard.
