ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 13, 2011) – Faith Garcia of Stamford, Conn., has been selected to attend The First Tee’s 2011 Life Skills and Leadership Academy held at Arizona State University on August 3-9. She will join 96 First Tee participants representing 83 chapters from across the country at this special conference. Garcia, 15, is a sixth-year participant at The First Tee of Metropolitan New York’s Fairchild Wheeler site in Bridgeport, Conn., and will be entering her sophomore year at Trinity Catholic High School in September.

The First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academies revolve around the Life Skills Experience. Participants from around the world who have demonstrated exceptional golf and leadership skills are nominated by their chapters to attend a week-long camp offering life skills and leadership development workshops, golf clinics, and career exploration.
