10 qualify for Public Links Championship at Marine Park
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (June 8, 2016) - Qualifying for the 69th MGA Public Links Championship continued Tuesday at Marine Park Golf Course in Brooklyn, N.Y. A total of 10 players qualified for the championship, which will take place at Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, N.Y., on July 7.

Michael Auerbach of Nassau Players earned medalist honors on the day with a score of 1-over 73.
Finishing two strokes behind Auerbach with qualifying scores of 3-over 75 were Mark Reilly of Peninsula, Germay Medina of AGC Pelham Bay/Split Rock GC, Matthew Rendell of MGA eClub-NYC, Billy Byrnes of Silver Lake Men’s Golf Club, and Michael Young Jr. of South Shore.
The final four qualifying spots went to Joseph Swick of Bethpage State Park, John Sheehan of Pine Ridge, Herrol Pryce of Baychester, and Rodney Stilwell of Silver Lake who all carded scores of 5-over 77.
Marine Park played to a par 72 at 6,704 yards.
The final qualifying round is on June 14 at Bethpage State Park Golf Course (Blue) in Farmingdale, N.Y.
