Elliot medals in Public Links qualifying at Hudson Hills
OSSINING, N.Y. (June 7, 2016) - Qualifying for the 69th MGA Public Links Championship began today at Hudson Hills Golf Club, where a total of eight players qualified for the July 7 championship at Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, N.Y.

Owen Elliot, an MGA eClub-NYC member, earned medalist honors on the day with a score over 1-over 72.
Close behind was Nick Dilio of Casperkill at 2-over 73.
Chris Meinke of Longshore and Andrew Lord of Bethpage State Park both shot 3-over 74 to earn their spots at Spook Rock.
Qualifying at 4-over 75 were Marc Coleman of Nassau Players and Michael Marotta of South Shore.
Ryan Henn, a Met PGA Junior Golf Club member, and Chris Kelly of Centennial earned the last qualifying spots with scores of 6-over 77.
Hudson Hills played to a par 71 at 6,591 yards.
Five qualifying rounds are being conducted for the MGA Public Links Championship, the oldest such championship in the nation. Qualifying continues on June 8 at Rockleigh Golf Course in Rockleigh, N.J., and Marine Park Golf Course in Brooklyn, N.Y., and concludes June 14 at Bethpage State Park Golf Course (Blue) in Farmingdale, N.Y.
