MGA Foundation Spring Educational Series Just Around the Corner
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (January 29, 2015) - Although there is snow on the ground now, spring is around the corner and the MGA is ready to get you prepared for the upcoming golf season with a series of educational seminars and forums. These programs are designed to educate and engage club leaders and the general golfing public on a wide range of topics of interest to Met Area golfers.

Green Chairman Education Series: Tuesday, March 24, Alpine Country Club, Demarest, N.J.
The annual Green Chairman Education series is tailored for club superintendents, professionals, green chairmen and club officials, and discusses current issues and trends that are emerging for courses in the Met Area. The seminar features an impressive panel of experts in the field of golf course management, maintenance and agronomy. A highlight of the meeting is the presentation of the Arthur P. Weber MGA Club Environmental Leaders in Golf Award, which recognizes an MGA member club that demonstrates environmental leadership through their efforts in golf course maintenance, construction, education and research. MGA/Met PGA Rules Workshop: Thursday, March 26, Brae Burn Country Club, Purchase, N.Y.
Attended by local golf professionals, club officials and MGA Committee members, the Rules Workshop includes discussions on recent Rules decisions, application of the Rules and other relevant information. MGA Handicap and Rules Seminars
The annual Handicapping and Rules Seminars act as a refresher course for the MGA and USGA Handicapping System, as well as the Rules of Golf. Caddie Academies
Caddie Academies are one-day, after-school programs at participating MGA member clubs. They are open to Met Area men and women of all ages, are free of charge, and all participants receive certificates of completion which assist the participants in obtaining employment at area golf clubs.
