MGA Announces New "Partners Club"
ELMSFORD, N.Y.- The Metropolitan Golf Association has introduced a new Partner’s Club program that will offer Met Area golf enthusiasts the opportunity to give something back to the game by supporting the broad scope of tournaments and educational programs conducted by the MGA each year.
The Partner’s Club offers three membership options - Par, Birdie and Eagle- giving the members the opportunity to participate at various levels. Members can elect to receive a number of items and privileges including MGA publications, apparel, bag tag and placement on mailing lists for special Championship Press Guides and publications. Eagle membership also includes an invitation to the MGA Foundation’s Day of Golf outing on Wednesday, May 21st at the spectacular Atlantic GC, in Bridgehampton, NY, home of the 2004 Met Open.
“The many programs and services offered by the Association benefit thousands of golfers each year and help protect the future of the game we all love.” said MGA Assistant Executive Director and Tournament Director Gene Westmoreland. “Through our Caddie Academies, our GOLFWORKS student intern program and our recent involvement with the First Tee of Metropolitan New York, at the Mosholu Golf Course in the Bronx, we are using golf to positively affect the lives of thousands of deserving young kids each year. All this while still maintaining core services such as legendary regional championships, USGA championship qualifying rounds, The Met Golfer magazine, and Foundation educational seminars. These programs need the support of the local golf community if they are to continue to grow, and the Partner’s Club provides an excellent opportunity for golfers to give back to the game they love and invest in the future of golf in the Met Area.”
