Qualifying: U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (October 8, 20224) -- The 10th U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship will be played Plainfield Country Club in Edison, New Jersey from May 17-21 in 2025. The MGA will conduct two sectional qualifiers in the Met Area this fall – one at Pelham Country Club in Westchester and one at Huntington Crescent Club in Long Island.

October 8 – Pelham Country Club, Pelham Manor, N.Y.
The first U.S. Four-Ball Qualifier saw a tight leaderboard and a tie a top for the medalist honors and their tickets to the championship. Thomas Bennett of Pelham, N.Y. and Lucas Rizo-Patron of Rye, N.Y. set the pace by shooting a 6-under 65. The duo recorded seven birdies between them to move up the leaderboard. In one of the last groups of the day Pat Wilson of Andover N.J. and Brad Tiley of Easton, C.T. made a statement from the start after Pat Wilson made an eagle on the drivable fourth hole. They would continue the steady golf and slowly move the leaderboard to advance to the championship.

October 22 – Huntington Crescent Club, Huntington, N.Y.
Colin Dolph & Dan Abbondanolo of Locust Valley and Huntington N.Y. lead the way at Huntington Crescent. The pair shot an 8-under 62 to finish two shots clear of a playoff for the final spot. The pair got off to a good start with a birdie on the second, seventh and nine to open with a three under par. They continued the good play on the back nine adding five more birdies. Following them was four groups of golfers who all finished with a 6-under 64. A four for one playoff ensued for the final spot where Max Bichsel & Thomas Urciuoli of New York, N.Y. & Short Hills, New Jersey would come out victorious.
