Sullivan County Golf Club Partners with Youth on Course
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (December 14, 2023) – Youth on Course announced a new partnership with Sullivan County Golf Club, in Liberty, N.Y. on Thursday. Sullivan County is a member of the MGA.
The partnership provides Youth on Course members the opportunity to play a unique “Golden Age” 9-hole course in the Catskills for $5 a round anytime Monday – Friday.
Sullivan County becomes the 33rd course in the Met area to partner with Youth on Course.
Sullivan County was featured in the August/September issue of 'The Met Golfer'. The course is operated by Tom Coyne, a New York Times bestselling author, Senior Editor and podcast host at The Golfer’s Journal, who has been publishing golf stories since 2001. Coyne took over opeation of the course this summer from its owners in effort from keeping the course from closing.
“Sullivan County GC is an ideal course for young and beginning golfers, so partnering with Youth on Course was an absolute no-brainer for us,” said Coyne. “As a public, nine-hole facility, it is a great place to work on your game in an environment that isn't stuffy, where young golfers can feel welcome any time of the day.”
In 2023, Youth on Course members in the Met area played over 4,700 rounds.
