Specht Tops rain shortened Arthur Weber Senior Am at Old Westbury

Old Westbury, N.Y. (October 20, 2023) After overnight rain and a forecast of rain for the final round the decision was made to shorten the Arthur Weber Memorial Amateur Senior Championship sponsored by Kamco to 18 holes.

Alan Specht of Port Jefferson CC at Harbor Hill is our Amateur Champion after shooting a 1-under par 71 in the first round. Specht fired an even par on the front with two birdies and two bogeys. He made his move on the back recording 3 birdies to get to 1 under. The round of 1-under par was the only round under par.

Finishing in solo second place was Adam Moskowitz of Old Westbury G&CC who shot a 1-over par 73. He was followed closely by Jay Sessa of Cherry Valley Club, Tom Yellin of MGA eClub NYC and David Prowler of Nassau Players Club who all finished at 3-over par.

Finishing atop the leaderboard in the Super Senior Gross division was Jay Sessa and David Prowler of Nassau Players Club with a 3-over 75. Peter Spadalki of South Nassau Golf Club finished atop the Super Senior Net Division.

For the Legends division Tom Yellin topped the leaderboard on the gross and net sides.
