Means & Snyder Claim MGA/MetLife Women's Four-Ball in Playoff
EAST NORWICH, N.Y. (October 15, 2019) - Beautiful fall weather and perfect conditions at The Muttontown Club made for a successful 35th playing of the MGA/MetLife Women's Four-Ball Championship.

The Net Divison saw a tie after 18 holes, with three teams sitting at 8-under, 64. A sudden-death playoff ensued, with the sides playing the par-5 17th, and the par-4 18th holes. Janet Gochman and Melanie Applebaum of Metropolis were eliminated after the par-5 17th to take third place. Theresa Lyman and Christine Markahm of Blue Hill and Carol Snyder and Annabel Means of Montauk Downs moved on to the par-4 18th hole. While play was strong all around, the short game from Snyder and Means led them to win the hole and earn the title for the second time in three years.
In the Gross Division, Patrice Franco of Nassau Players Club and Yong Park of LPGA Amateur Golf Association continued their run in the championship by taking first place for the fifth consecutive year, doing so with a 5-over, 77. Second and third place were determined by a match of cards, with Monica Chung and Julie Kim of Rivervale Country Club finishing second, and Jennifer Green and Wendy Richmond of Springdale Golf Club taking third place.
