Humphrey Earns T4 Finish at Marquee AJGA Event

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 15, 2013) - Standout junior golfer Theo Humphrey of Greenwich, Conn. recently finished T4 at the AJGA's Rolex Tournament of Champions at Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster, Pa., a marquee event on the AJGA calendar.

The 17-year-old fired rounds of 69-67-68-72 (4-under 276) to finish four shots back of champion Ben Griffin. Humphrey's high finish earned him a selection in this week's Wyndham Cup, which pits 20 (10 male, 10 femaile) of the top junior golfers East of the Mississippi River against 20 from the West. It will be held out in Rancho Sante Fe, Calif. Max Greyserman of Short Hills, N.J., and Nicole Morales of South Salem, N.Y. are also on the East team.

Humphrey also earned co-medalist honors at the U.S. Junior SQR at Fairview CC, which will also be played in California next week.

A member of the victorious 2012 Williamson Cup team (being played at his home club Sleepy Hollow this August), Humphrey won the 2011 MGA/MetLife Boys Championship and finished T2 at last year's Carter Cup. He'll play his college golf at Vanderbilt University starting in the fall of 2014.
