In 2002, the MGA Foundation created a series of diversity youth initiatives designed to bring the game of golf to young people from all walks of life, particularly in areas where students are not normally exposed to the game.
These initiatives include a series of junior clinics each year and are conducted at a variety of sites throughout the Met Area. The events introduce the fundamentals of golf and the life lessons the game teaches to minority and underprivileged youth who do not have regular exposure to the game.
