For more than 100 years, caddieing has been an integral part of the game of golf in the Metropolitan Area. The MGA Foundation supports the tradition of caddies, and believes it is important for young men and women to have the opportunity to caddie. The MGA Foundation supports caddieing through recruitment, education, and administering the Jay Mottola Scholarship and the local caddie scholarship funds of Long Island and Westchester.
Caddie Academies
The MGA Foundation conducts Caddie Academies each spring, designed to provide the basics of caddieing to young men and women looking to get started.

The JMS provides a significant scholarship for four years of undergraduate study, named to celebrate former MGA Executive Director Jay Mottola.

Since 1962, the LICSF provides need-based financial scholarships to caddies and those who work in service to golf at golf and country clubs throughout Long Island.

Since 1956, the MGACSF provides need-based scholarships to caddies and those who work in serivce to golf at golf and country clubs throughout the Westchester and Fairfield areas.

The CGSMA is a network of caddie managers, assistant caddie managers, and starters who work throughout the Met Area.
