Fairfield County native to attend breakfast and clinic at Fairchild Wheeler
May 15, 2009 – Fairfield County native, and PGA Tour member, J.J. Henry will support The First Tee efforts in Fairfield County at a breakfast and clinic at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course in Fairfield Conn., on Monday, June 29 from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Known as “The Wheel,” Fairchild Wheeler is home to The First Tee site serving Fairfield County, which is one of five sites of The First Tee of Metropolitan New York.
J.J. Henry has committed his foundation, The Henry House, as the sponsor of the event which will raise funds to support The First Tee’s many programs in Fairfield County. The First Tee Chapters of Metropolitan New York and Connecticut have come together in a partnership to provide the many cities and towns in Fairfield County with this unique youth development program.
J.J. Henry visited Fairchild Wheeler, where he played many of his high school matches, for a similar function in 2007 and was very impressed with the renovations. Since then, the course has undergone further renovation, making it one of the most challenging and beautiful public golf courses in Fairfield County.
The “Meet J.J. Henry Breakfast and Clinic” is open to the public. For more information and registration, please go to www.thefirstteemetny.org or call Rowena Pedrena at 718-655-9164, ext. 106.
