Met Foundation-MetPGA Rules at Lake Isle
EASTCHESTER, N.Y. (March 26, 2008) – The MGA Foundation/Met PGA annual Rules of Golf Workshop was held March 26 at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester, N.Y. Attended by golf professionals, club officials and MGA Committeemen, it included a presentation by PGA Tour Rules Official and former NFL player Mark Dusbabek. Mr. Dusbabek, a former employee of the Met PGA, discussed personal experiences of being an official on the PGA Tour and the pressures that come with the job. He emphasized the importance of an official respecting a player’s knowledge of the game and only assisting on a ruling when asked. Mr. Dusbabek also discussed scenarios on the PGA Tour that could have influenced these modifications to the Rules of Golf.
