First Tee Scholars Announced for 2010
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (January 4, 2010) - Five participants from The First Tee of Metropolitan New York were selected as First Tee scholars for the class of 2010. From the Nassau County chapter at Eisenhower Park, Lisa Agoglia, Dominick Ferrante, Richard Donovan, Jeremy Gross were chosen, and Paul Toohey was selected from the Mosholu chapter.
Each of these First Tee students have exhibited leadership, determination, and excellence through their academic achievements and extracurricular activities. Ferrante, who was named the 2009 RBS Achiever of the Year, is joined by two Barclays Cup Tri-Match participants, Gross and Toohey.
The First Tee Scholarship Advisory Committee received and reviewed applications from eighty very talented and accomplished student leaders. Designating scholars from those applications was a difficult process, and the students who were selected achieved the highest scores based on the qualifications, characteristics, and ideals of the scholar’s program.
