Handicap Score Posting Season Ends for 2010
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (November 23, 2010) — The 2010 Met Area golf season is just about over and the October 27 handicap revision was the last official “active-season” revision for the year. It is important to know that scores made in the Met Area after October 26 should not be posted and will not be accepted for handicap purposes. MGA handicapping is now in its inactive season until March 31, 2011. The first day for posting scores for 2011 will be April 1.
Please note that any rounds played during the winter in areas that observe an active season (i.e. Florida, Arizona) are acceptable to be posted and must be posted for handicap purposes. The MGA will run inactive season revisions once per month during December, January, February and March to update the indexes of those members playing at and posting scores from out-of-area courses. The MGA will continue to communicate with member golfers through the e-Revision Newsletter, which will switch to a monthly schedule for winter.
