Young Benefactors Host Masters Week Fundraiser
NEW YORK, N.Y. (April 5, 2012) – The First Tee of Metropolitan New York (TFTMNY) Young Benefactors hosted its third annual Masters week event, 19th Hole on the Park, at the New York Athletic Club in New York City on Thursday, April 5th. The event benefited TFTMNY’s Path to College program, which is a series of events and seminars designed to help high school students gain insight to the college application process.
More than 250 people were on hand for a Masters-themed night featuring an extensive silent auction, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Net proceeds from the evening totaled $51,000 through a combination of admission sales, raffles, a putting contest, and bids on over 65 silent auction items, which included tickets to sporting events and Broadway shows, signed memorabilia and rounds of golf at a number of the Met Area's top golf courses.
Created in 2009, the Young Benefactors is a network of active young professionals dedicated to the mission of The First Tee of Metropolitan New York. The group supports TFTMNY by conducting fundraising events and community and volunteer efforts to raise local awareness about the First Tee.
