Qualifying: 109th Met Open Championship Presented By Callaway

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 19, 2024) -- The 109th Met Open Championship Presented by Callaway will make its first-ever appearance at Wee Burn Country Club in Darien, Conn., this year. This will be the second MGA major hosted by the club, having welcomed the Met Amateur in 1992. It's no stranger to big events, having also welcomed the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship on three occasions (1939, '58, '70). It last hosted an MGA championship in 2019, when Brad Tilley claimed the Mid-Amateur with a dramatic finish.

Recent Met Opens have served up exciting storylines and finishes of their own, from Dylan Newman's breakthrough victory at Arcola last year and Ryan Siegler's clutch finish at Bethpage Black in 2022 to Andy Svoboda winning his third career title in 2021 at Hudson National and Luke Sample becoming the youngest-ever champion and eighth amateur to win the title in 2020 at Mountain Ridge.

This year, six qualifiers will take place between July 22 and August 8 to complete the field at Wee Burn that will contend for the Walker L. Trammell Trophy.
