Wall was 1-under par on his second round to open a two-shot lead over Colin Summers of Plainfield. Wall carded three birdies and two bogies in round two. The 23-year-old is the only player to post two under par rounds.

Summers was tied with Wall at 4-under for the championship before a bogey on the par-4 sixth, and a double bogey on the par-4 seventh dropped him back to 1-under. The Fairfield Stag pared his final two holes. The two are the only players under par through two rounds.

Ricky Calve is in a tie for third place at 1-over par through two rounds. The MGA eClub-New Jersey member recorded an even-par 70 in round two. Three of the 22-year-old’s four birdies came on the front nine. Will Lodge of the Country Club of Darien birdied his last hole of round two to move to 1-over for the championship.

Peter Scialabba of Meadow Brook and Christian Cavaliere of Hudson National are tied for fifth at 2-over par for the championship. Scialabba carded a 1-over 71 in round two. Cavaliere was 1-under par in round 2. Cavaliere was 4-under on his round before a triple bogey on No. 18. Donte Groppuso of Wiltwyck, Tim Hagerty of Sleepy Hollow, and Pat Wilson of Hamilton Farm join them at 2-over.

The final group of round three is scheduled to tee off at 2:09 p.m.

Nassau is hosting its record 14th MGA major as it welcomes the Ike for the third time, last hosting in 2009 when Mike Ballo, Jr., claimed the title. As a founding member of the MGA, the club has been a longtime supporter of MGA championships, first hosting the Met Amateur in 1900.
